Have A Blessed Day

Although I haven't had the opportunity to see Ben Long's work a dear friend of mine told me about his great Fresco paintings. These pictures were taken at St. Mary's Episcopal Church locatd in North Carolina.

Lord Father God Almighty I come to you today in prayer asking that You make this a blessed day filled with the assurance of all of Your wonderful blessings. My we live with Godly knowledge knowing You chose and called us to receive Your love and to serve You. Keep us safe from danger and the forces of evil. Please reinforce your helmet of salvation to protect our thinking brain from any intrusion of temptation to pride, resistance to Your guidance, or negative attitudes. Smile on each person who reads this request with Your presence and lift them from any fear or frustration they may be feeling during this season. Thank you Father God for Your grace to overcome the grimness that sometimes pervades our countenance. Instead may we reflect Your joy and peace as it flows into us, calming our agitated spirit, conditioning our depression, and controlling what we say and do. Help me that when I say to people “Have a blessed day,” that I will expect nothing less for myself. Today is a brand new day. It is filled with opportunities to live out our calling to serve you and to love others. I trust that you will guide us so that all that we do and say today will be for your glory. Since we pass through this life only once, help us to do so with kindness, affirmation that we can communicate and your guidance so that we can do these things today. Help us to be sensitive to what is happening around us, take no one for granted but instead be a communicator of Your love and encouragement.
