Words. Do we fully understand their power? Can any of us really grasp the mighty force behind the things we say? De we stop and think before we speak, considering the potency of the words we utter? (Joni Eareckson Tada)
Think…..pause….then speak: How wise are we to communicate in this fashion? All too often in the rush to have our messages heard, we speak first and think later….with unfortunate results. We need to seek to encourage all who enter our path and measure our words carefully. Our words will offer encouragement to others when we speak wisely and not impulsively.
My prayer:
Dear Father, make us encouragers. You lifted us up so let us also lift others in the spirit of encouragement and hope. Today let us help others find the strength and the courage to use their gifts according to your master plan. Amen
