Prayer has mostly to do with God – His grace, His willingness, His invitation. What we say in our devotional time is our response. Prayer is our answering more than it is our initiating or inventing. In prayer we may knock on the door, but we do so having being invited to come in the first place. In Jesus Christ, God opened the door of possibility of communication with Him in the first place. Prayer is where we begin to walk through.
Matt 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”.
