Weaving The Habit Of Prayer Into Our Lives

When we weave the habit of prayer into the fabric of our days, we invite God to become a partner in every aspect of our lives. When we consult God we benefit from His wisdom, His strength, and His love. Instead of turning things over in our mind we need to turn them over to God in our prayers. Instead of worrying about our next decision, we need to decide to allow God to lead the way. We shouldn’t limit our prayers to meals or to bedtime. We should pray constantly about things that are great or small. Our Heavenly Father, God Almighty is listening, and He wants to hear from us.

Don’t be overwhelmed…take it one day at a time and one prayer at a time. (Stormie Omartian)

My Prayer: Lord, Your Holy Word commands us to pray without ceasing. When we are discouraged, let us pray. When we are lonely, let us take our tears to you, Lord in prayer. When we are joyful let us offer our prayers of thanksgiving to you. In all things great and small, at all times, whether happy or sad let us seek Your wisdom and Your Grace…in prayer. Amen

2 Chronicles 7:14 (New International Version)
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
