Let Us Turn The Ear Of Our Soul Toward God

Thanks Linda so much the donation of yarn I received from you unexpectly yesterday. It is appreciated and will help make blankets for all those little babies who enter NICU located at one of the hopsitals nearby. Presently there are 12 babies out of the 20 beds the units holds. I can't thank you enough. - Love - Bonnie

Dan Rather asked Mother Teresa of Calcutta, “What do you say to God when you pray?” Mother Teresa looked at him and said quietly, “I listen”. Slightly flustered, Mr. Rather tried to ask the question again. “Well, then, what does God say?” Mother Teresa smiled and said, “He listens”. Profound communication can often take place in the most subtle way, through a still small voice, or in loving silence.

Times spent in listening prayer keeps us coming back to God who is eager to communicate through every means imaginable. We need to try to turn the ear of our soul toward God who is full of wisdom, and who is eager to speak to us.

Speak, Lord for your servant hears. Grant us ears to hear, Eyes to see, Wills to obey, and Hearts to love.
---Cynthia Rossetti, Nineteenth Century

My prayer: Lord, help us to not talk over you. Deliver us from chatter. Help us to hear you when you speak to us. Help us to see Jesus Christ, and enable us to follow all that your Holy Spirits leads us to. Amen
