God's Majesty

Majesty

Majesty, worship His Majesty,
Unto Jesus, be all glory, honor and praise!

Majesty, kingdom authority, flows from His throne,

Unto His own, His anthem raise.

So exalt, lift up on high the name of Jesus.

Magnify, come glorify Christ Jesus the King.

Majesty, worship His Majesty,

Jesus who died, now glorified,

King of all kings.

2 Corinthians 10:17-18 (New King James Version)
17 But “he who glories, let him glory in the LORD.” 18 For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.

2 Corinthians 10:17-18 (New Living Translation)
17 As the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD.” 18 When people commend themselves, it doesn’t count for much. The important thing is for the Lord to commend them.

2 Corinthians 10:17-18 (New International Version)
17But, "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord." 18For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.

2 Corinthians 10:17-18 (Amplified Bible)
17However, let him who boasts and glories boast and glory in the Lord. 18For [it is] not [the man] who praises and commends himself who is approved and accepted, but [it is the person] whom the Lord accredits and commends.

What we say about ourselves means nothing in God's eyes. It's what God says about us that makes the difference. We can not look into the Lords eyes and glorify ourselves. When we do so, we only become self-righteous.

My Prayer: Lord, Jesus, God, Almighty please forgive us for our tendency to put ourselves before You. Thank You that we can glorify Your righteousness. How wonderful are Your laws and the approval You give when we do Your will. May we only seek to lift You up, Lord, Jesus. May our words tell of Your majesty instead build us up. When we hear words of praise, they will only reflect Your glory. In Jesus name I pray this day, Amen.

The above picture was taken yesterday at Newfound Gap which is at the North Carolina/Tennessee border. My husband and I were driving through the mountains to see fall foliage. What a surprise and magnificent testimony this experience was of God’s glory and for us to see fall foliage in a winter wonderland. Man could never paint a picture that glorifies God as this one.
